InfoMobility Network

Connecting Canadians with Transportation Options

Imagine one source for the best and most practical urban commuter and travel information in cities across Canada.

Imagine, in just one click, providing transportation professionals, business leaders, community groups, and concerned citizens with the best information on how to make better transportation systems happen.

There is a wealth of top notch information online on getting around a city or improving an urban transportation system. But the countless sites and features that provide this information are seldom organized or linked in ways that provide quick and easy access to what you need when you need it.

The InfoMobility Network is a Canada-wide partnershipthat explores web portals as a tool for providing transportation information and services both regionally and nationally. Comprised of stakeholders from the municipal, federal and private sectors, and coordinated by Moving the Economy (MTE), InfoMobility Network's objectives are to use the Internet to:

  1. Provide practical and seamless door to door urban traveller information for the Canadian public
  2. Develop an information exchange to serve transportation professionals,* the public sector, and business leaders in sustainable transportation and at the same time provide information about sustainable transportation to Canadians directly, and through links to the traveller information portal

*urban planners, academics, business planners in transportation, consultants, etc.
